Continuous Improvement Intern (12 months) - Starting Summer 2025

Stonehouse Technology Centre (SHTC) is the SLB drilling Centre of Excellence. It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialised Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products. Over 400 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations. SHTC continues Research & Development investment for new technologies, extending operational limits so that clients can reach hotter, deeper reserves. Description & Scope: We have a programme of Continuous Improvement projects across all departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Customer Services, Quality and more. These projects range from Just Do It (short time frame) through to multi-day events and longer-term large-scale projects. This internship would be working with the project teams to support the implementation of improvements, data collection and monitoring using different Continuous Improvement tools (White Belt - foundation level training given). They would be included in Kaizen Events and be responsible for their own project during the internship. Required Skills & Education: Bachelor Degree in any discipline Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity Project Management Problem Solving Communication and people skills SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
