Maintenance Engineer £30.00 Per Hour - Outside IR35 6-2/2-10 Monday to Friday gap technical are proud to be representing this market leading manufacturing business in their search for a Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based in Runcorn. Performance Objectives Support the manufacturing process by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work, and proactively correcting and modifying recurring machine processing faults. Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to the nominated production area. Fault find in an effective and efficient manner while utilizing the various machines' historic information documentation. Establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and work flexibly with them. Train operational team members to perform minor maintenance tasks and assist in major repairs. Ensure that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard. Be proactive in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department. Person Specification The successful candidate will ideally have completed a time-served engineering apprenticeship. A background in Food/FMCG/Packaging Manufacturing will be a distinct advantage; however, it is not a prerequisite. You must be an excellent communicator and be able to plan and organize efficiently.
