About the Team: The Waste and Cleansing Contract Team is responsible for the day-to-day client management of the Council’s Recycling, Waste Collection and Street Cleaning contract. About the Role: This role plays a key part in ensuring recycling, waste collections and street cleaning services are delivered efficiently. The post holder will be responsible for the effective operational management of the Waste and Cleansing Contract Management Team and will manage the contractual relationship between Resident Services and contractors. To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence: A strong understanding of the key national issues facing municipal waste management services Experience of managing high performing waste and cleansing contracts with sound knowledge of good contract management principles Be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience with evidence of continuing professional development Demonstrate a high level of accountability for individual and team performance and delivery Show ambition for continuous improvement through innovation and challenging the status quo We especially encourage applications from people from underrepresented groups.
