Role Description

As a Contract Manager at Phoenix UK, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising IT contracts and services. You will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing end-of-life services, maintaining contract registers, and ensuring financial accuracy and transparency. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Procurement and Finance teams to ensure efficient cost and billing management, as well as auditing and reporting on IT services and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategy for the area of responsibility.
  • Manage end-of-life services and contracts, collaborating with the Service Delivery Management Team to cease relevant assets and contracts, ensuring best value at all times.
  • Maintain the Contract Management Register for IT contracts.
  • Support the Procurement team with administrative activities related to the IT Category/Suppliers cost of service, providing transparency of IT costs.
  • Work within the Procurement Team to ensure as much IT spend as possible can be on-boarded to the Purchase to Pay system.
  • Manage cost and billing for the UK IT function, ensuring incoming invoices are accurate and in line with contracts for all areas of IT.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to ensure invoices are promptly paid within agreed contractual terms.
  • Audit IT invoices for accuracy against all current and ceased IT services, including cost and content.
  • Monitor and maintain IT services and assets, ensuring assets are accurate in the ITSM tool and costs associated are accurate for billing.
  • Provide financial reporting on IT services and budgets as required.

Key Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in financially managing vendor accounts and contracts.
  • Experience working in a Procurement and/or IT environment with ITIL processes is desirable.
  • Experience in a customer/vendor facing environment, both remotely and face-to-face.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Excel.
  • Experience in reporting financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Power Apps.

Qualifications

  • Financial or Business Administration qualifications to NVQ level.
  • CIPS (or studying towards) is desirable.
  • ITIL V3 at least to foundation level is desirable.
