Spirehouse are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager for a Social Housing provider in Stafford.


The Opportunity:


As a Contracts Manager, you will support the Head of Service in delivering planned major works projects, ensuring compliance with contracts and Health and Safety standards. You will take the lead on projects, independently managing contractors, performance monitoring, and resolving contract issues


The successful candidate will:


  • Be responsible for supervision of Planned Project works and contractors reporting to the post ensuring the effective use of their and other company resources
  • Undertake complex technical inspections as required, provide appropriate technical solutions and manage any works arising through to completion
  • Ensure that workload is allocated in a balanced and efficient manner and delivered within specified timescales
  • Be accountable for day-to-day management and monitoring of performance against targets and ensuring the delivery of service meets the required quality standards, statutory and legislative requirements are met and ensuring that good practise is observed


Further information:


  • £55,000 per annum
  • 37 hours per working week
  • Hybrid working pattern (3 Days in office, two from home)
  • Access to a Fleet car / van

Requirements:


  • Professionally qualified Building or Quantity Surveyor in a construction related discipline with 3 years PQE
  • MRICS / MCIOB qualified with evidence of CPD
  • Understanding of relevant Statutory Regulations relating to Housing providers; including, but not limited to: Asbestos awareness, Building Regulations, Gas and Electrical safety
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
