Role Overview:
As a Contract RF Test Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, executing, and refining tests for RF equipment and systems. These will mainly be manual but with a small amount of automated.
You’ll ensure performance meets strict standards, conduct troubleshooting, and implement improvements to optimise performance and reliability.
You must be capable of obtaining SC Clearance or ideally already hold it
This contract has an indicative outside IR35 determination
Key Responsibilities of the Contract RF Test Engineer:
- Perform RF testing and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
- Design and develop test plans and procedures to validate RF functionality and performance
- Collaborate with design and production teams to improve test processes and outcomes
- Document results, analyse data, and present findings to internal teams and stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of industry standards and best practices for RF testing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an RF Test Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of RF testing techniques, tools, and standards
- Familiarity with RF measurement instruments such as spectrum analysers, signal generators, and network analysers
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (due to the nature of the work, only UK nationals may apply)
