Job Overview:

Fortrea is looking to hire a Contract Specialist for a hybrid role based in Uxbridge (50% office-based, 50% home-based).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end budgeting and contracting processes for Study Teams. This role focuses on a variety of contract types, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Investigator contracts for client-sponsored studies, non-registrational studies, and Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR). The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless preparation, negotiation, and execution of clinical trial agreements, maintaining alignment with organizational priorities and compliance standards.

Summary of Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for study teams regarding study budgets and contracts. Prepare and negotiate study/site-level grant budgets and financial appendices. Manage the end-to-end execution of Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAgs) with investigator sites, ensuring alignment with trial deliverables. Draft and adapt contract documents using templates while reflecting unique study requirements. Negotiate financial and legal aspects of CTAgs and Master Service Agreements with sites, institutions, or vendors. Collaborate with Legal Teams to address contract language modifications and risk mitigation. Communicate efficiently with client's Clinical and Legal Teams regarding amendments and issues. Ensure accurate entry and filing of CTAg documents and data within Clinical Trial Management Systems and contract management software. Prepare, negotiate, and execute Master Agreements with institutions, maintaining updated template language in collaboration with Legal Teams. Monitor and escalate significant risks to the business to appropriate stakeholders. Provide guidance to internal project leaders on contracting decisions, highlighting potential risks and issues. Manage contract-related purchase orders, including drug or equipment acquisition, as applicable. Support the preparation of invoices and payment tracking to ensure timely and accurate payments to investigator sites.

Qualifications (Minimum Required): Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Life Sciences or equivalent. 2+ years of experience negotiating legal and/or financial agreements, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry and clinical trials.
