Apply now! As a Contract Support Officer, you will be responsible for access control to the building, meeting and greeting visitors, contractors, and staff. You will be vigilant and the first point of call for any suspicious activity. This includes carrying out ID checks, responding to emergencies, and providing information to all staff and visitors. The successful candidate will need to have excellent customer service skills and personal presentation, as these sites can be very busy dealing with members of the public, outside working, patrolling, and Front of House duties as required. To protect the premises from possible unauthorised entry. To ensure effective security of the assigned patrol locations against damage. To detect those responsible for losses or malicious damage. To ensure that all persons wishing to enter the premises are fully identified. To ensure all reasonable instructions from the client are acknowledged. To provide an efficient emergency response system. Security Officer Duties: To offer advice/assistance to staff and visitors. Protect the premises, property, and personnel from theft, damage, and violence. Patrol the site and buildings to prevent fire, flood, theft, and damage. Search premises and people as instructed. Provide access to cleaners and maintenance staff as instructed. Assist in support of programmes, corporate events, and functions. Check and validate all passes. Issue and log keys; ensure their security and safe return. Operate, monitor, and respond to installed security systems. Maintain a log of occurrences. Produce incident reports. Direct and assist visitors. Lock and unlock offices as necessary. Check firefighting equipment. Monitor security equipment performance. Comply with site security instructions and policies. Respond to emergencies and assist emergency services. Must Haves: Valid SIA licence. UK Drivers licence. Proven work experience as a Security Officer (minimum 1 year). Excellent customer service and communication skills. High level of self-presentation. IT literate. Quick thinking and problem-solving skills. A positive attitude to dealing with people.
