The Opportunity Our client is seeking a

Contracts & Procurement Lead

to join their growing Supply Chain team. This critical role involves managing the pre- and post-contract award processes across direct and indirect spend, ensuring risk is minimised, and budgets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement contracts and procurement strategies for direct and indirect requirements in EPC sectors (civil, mechanical, and electrical). Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best commercial outcomes while adhering to the company’s contracting principles. Collaborate with internal teams (Project Managers, Legal, Finance) to support the transition from EPC to a client-focused model. Provide expert contracts and procurement advice to project teams and stakeholders. Coach and mentor junior members of the Supply Chain team in best practices. Build and maintain supplier relationships by attending training, conferences, and networking events. Generate reports and benchmarking insights to inform strategic decisions. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Report risks and promote safe working conditions and methods. Skills & Competencies Proven experience in a multi-project, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural environment. Strong technical and commercial skills with contract and procurement management expertise. Energy, construction, solar PV, or BESS experience (desirable). Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Qualifications & Experience HND/Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field. Supply Chain Management qualification (e.g., CIPS) is essential. Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable (e.g., CIPS).
