Due to continued growth in the energy sector, an opportunity for a Contracts Director has become available with a leading civil engineering contractor. The company operates several frameworks in the energy sector and has enjoyed impressive organic growth in this market across the South East over the past 10 years. The Contracts Director will drive the strategic direction of a number of key contracts with a combined value of circa £40M per annum. Projects include the construction and maintenance of substations as well as new high-voltage cables. The Role

The Contracts Director will drive the contract, have overarching accountability for performance and delivery, and play a key role in driving a culture of the highest standards of Health & Safety while working in collaboration with the Client and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

Maintaining long-term and collaborative partnerships with the Client. Managing a team of Contracts Managers promoting a culture of high performance, innovation and continuous improvement in the management of the multi-disciplinary delivery teams and support services. Managing the design process by way of sub-consultants. Ensure strong commercial and technical performance. Experience Required

Suitable applicants will ideally be educated to HNC / BSc Civil Engineering and will be able to demonstrate significant experience working at a senior level within the energy or utility sectors. The role may suit a seasoned Contracts Director or, equally, an ambitious Contracts Manager or Operations Manager seeking the next step in their career. The Contracts Director will be proactive and highly driven and will be a positive team leader with the ability to make clear and informed decisions.
