Title: Contracts manager Project Locations: Midlands Office Location: South Birmingham Salary: GBP50k - GBP60k Package: Car Allowance, Mileage, Pension 28 days leave (including Bank holidays) Start: February Shift Pattern/Hours: Mon Fri 42.5 p/w My client is a Main Contractor with a strong history in Shopfitting, Internal Fitout & Refurb works across the country who are expanding their business and have started taking on newbuild Leisure Projects. They have experienced growth year on year and due to this are looking to hire 2x Contracts Managers to join the team. The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects, including program planning, financial monitoring, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations as well as Company procedures, all while achieving stated objectives. Duties: Ensure smooth operation among the technical, sales, and service teams. Organise work programs and coordinate labour, subcontracting, and materials while staying within budget. Follow strict program strategies. Interpret drawings and specifications provided by clients. Transform tenders into actionable project delivery plans. Oversee schedules, costs, and financial forecasts. Conduct surveys, compliance checks, and identify issues. Facilitate on-site meetings with clients, consultants, and team members. Address and manage health and safety concerns, guiding the Site Foreman. Foster and maintain strong customer relationships. Participate in training to enhance skills. Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts. Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations 2015 Requirements: Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal teams and clients, including the ability to lead productive meetings. Experience in managing projects from start to finish. Ability to prioritise tasks effectively to achieve targets while adhering to budget limits. Strong knowledge of construct ion drawings. Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and requirements for principal contractors. Capacity to work well within a team environment. Understanding of commercial considerations. Proficiency in numerical skills, IT, and relevant software applications.
