TXM are working with a well-established and reputable rolling stock client based in Cardiff looking for a Contracts Manager.

Our client is looking for a Contracts Manager to support and deliver profitability in both short- and long-term contracts. The aim of this role is to develop good customer relationships and work in partnership with all levels of the production team to have an in-depth understanding of deliverables and production output to ensure contracts are maintained and minimize the risk of losing the contract.

Principal Accountabilities

Contract Delivery & Profitability:

Lead the successful execution of overhaul, refurbishment, and spares management contracts, ensuring profitability and effective risk management. Financial & Commercial Oversight:

Monitor and report financial and commercial performance, ensuring accurate invoicing, tracking, and forecasting. Customer & Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary customer contact for contract, programme, and commercial matters, leading contract review meetings and action plans. Operational Coordination:

Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to meet technical and delivery requirements, predict future issues, and drive value-added improvements. Warranty & Change Management:

Manage warranty claims, contract changes, and variation agreements, ensuring proper documentation and communication with stakeholders. Business Development & Bidding:

Support bid submissions for new or renewed contracts, including pricing ad-hoc work and issuing formal quotations. Compliance & Professional Development:

Stay updated on company policies, sector developments, and relevant legislation while maintaining confidentiality and promoting equality in the workplace. Skills & Experience

Business Development & Commercial Management:

Experience in business development, tender processes, and contract procedures, particularly in high-value, high-risk services like rail vehicle maintenance and overhaul. Contract & Risk Management:

Strong knowledge of contract management, dispute resolution, risk mitigation, and compliance with legal and company standards. Project & Performance Management:

Expertise in project management, performance analysis, and optimizing contract outcomes using key metrics. Technical & Organisational Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. If you are an experienced Contracts Manager with a background in engineering, please click apply right away.
