Contracts Manager - Building Envelope & Cladding Location: Commutable Office in Hampshire and Sites Salary: £60,000 - £85,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Benefits

Company: Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in building envelope and cladding projects? We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager on behalf of a leading building envelope specialist, to manage a range of high-profile cladding projects in the South East of the UK. If you have the technical knowledge and proven experience in contract management within the building envelope sector, this is an exciting opportunity for you.

Our client is a respected industry leader in façade and cladding solutions, delivering some of the most iconic and complex developments in the capital. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee their projects, ensuring smooth execution and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

Take responsibility for managing all aspects of contracts for cladding projects, ensuring that terms are adhered to, risks are managed, and that contracts align with project goals. Project Oversight:

Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure the successful delivery of cladding projects, managing key project milestones, timelines, and deliverables. Risk Management:

Identify and manage risks at both the contract and project level, implementing proactive strategies to mitigate potential issues and ensuring projects stay on track. Financial & Commercial Management:

Oversee project budgets and financial performance, ensuring all costs are controlled, invoices are processed, and financial targets are met. Provide accurate forecasts and reports to senior management. Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all cladding works comply with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards. Support site teams to maintain a safe working environment. Stakeholder Management & Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the project lifecycle. Technical Oversight:

Provide technical support and guidance on cladding systems and installation, ensuring all works meet the required quality standards and industry regulations. People Management:

Lead and manage a team of site-based staff and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of performance, productivity, and safety are maintained.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Cladding & Envelope Expertise:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the building envelope and cladding industry, with a solid understanding of cladding systems, installation techniques, and regulations. Contract Management:

Proven experience in managing contracts for large-scale construction or building envelope projects, including negotiation, administration, and dispute resolution. Project Management:

Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage budgets, schedules, and risks effectively. Financial & Commercial Acumen:

Strong financial management skills, including experience in budget management, cost control, and commercial decision-making. Health & Safety Knowledge:

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with a track record of ensuring compliance on site and a commitment to fostering a safe working environment. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams. Technical Proficiency:

Knowledge of cladding and building envelope systems, with the ability to provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. People Management:

Experience in managing site teams and subcontractors, with the ability to motivate and maintain high standards of performance and safety on-site.

Location:

Candidates must be commutable to the office and sites in the South East.
