Contracts Manager - Key Purpose of the Role

To be responsible for an identified geographical area of operation within the operating Region, with construction management responsibility for the defined area, with strategic direction from the Construction Director.

To manage the relevant Construction Team to provide a quality product efficiently, safely, and professionally; within set budgets and agreed timescales and delivering high standards of customer service.

In collaboration with the Construction Director, be responsible for the company's developments which will vary from time to time including any of the company's product range; ensuring construction of a quality product, safely, within agreed budgets and timescales, working closely with the Sales department to ensure customer satisfaction.

In collaboration with the Construction Director, ensure the construction department adheres to the company's policies on Health and Safety, ensuring requirements of Health and Safety legislation are met and safe working practices are actively encouraged.

To work in collaboration with other departments, in particular the sales department, to review and discuss a range of construction issues from potential sites through to existing developments. To oversee, monitor, and quality check every stage of the build.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

- Effectively manage the Area Construction function to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled, the area maximises revenue generation and contribution to the company's operating profit, and increases the value added to the company.

- Deputise as required for the Construction Director; attending meetings and dealing with any staff issues.

- Project Planning, Build Programme, Build Quality, Build Costs, Staffing, Health & Safety, Waste Management, Customer Service, Staff Effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Building & Management Qualifications relevant to the role (desirable).

Experience

- Proven track record delivering high value energy projects on time and to budget.

- Substantial Contract negotiation / delivery experience.

Key Knowledge and Skills

- Strong communication skills.

- Leadership skills and an ability to motivate your team to ensure a high standard of work.

- Excellent planning skills.

- Strong attention to detail.
