We are seeking a motivated and skilled Application Support Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients, ensuring that all service obligations are met in accordance with our contractual agreements. This role involves identifying, analysing, and solving issues, providing consultative support to customers, monitoring system performance and carrying out application maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Prioritise and manage user incidents, problems, changes and requests. Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future problems. Monitor and analyse application performance, identifying areas of improvement and proposing solutions to enhance system stability and efficiency. Ensure smooth deployment of application updates, patches, and enhancements, following established change management processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, System Administrators, and Database Administrators, to resolve technical issues. Communicate with customers to keep them informed about the progress of service tickets. Document support activities, solutions, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing. Understand customer needs and the scope of services provided. Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on application enhancements, bug fixes, and new feature requests based on support experiences. Operate the agreed service delivery plan to guarantee customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Proven experience in application support or a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Linux, Java, Oracle, PostgreSQL, TCP/IP, SQL, Scripting, Atlassian Products and DevOps methodologies are all pluses. Willingness to cover on-call out of hours support.
