Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Contract Manager will provide contract and procurement support throughout the lifecycle of a contract for multi-faceted projects - consultancy and engineering across design, fabrication, testing, and manufacturing contracts in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Our Client currently has a number of high-profile projects across the NDA estate, including projects across the full project spectrum of design, engineering, manufacture, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and project management.

The Contract Manager role will be responsible for all commercial downstream activities. Key duties will include: Responsibility for the commercial and contract aspects, working closely with Project Manager(s) to provide commercial and contractual expertise, assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risk during delivery, and manage exposure. Ensure contract requirements are adhered to. Provide guidance on contract matters during the contract delivery phase. Ensure the contract requirements are well known and understood. Act as Lead for all commercial and contractual discussion aspects with Clients and suppliers during contract delivery. Working with the PM(s), prepare and submit Early Warnings and Compensation Events (NEC - CEMAR as appropriate) and contract variations; Commercial lead for preparation of suitable variations (offers and contract T&Cs). Lead resolution of any commercial issues around rates/payment; support project financial progress reporting and monthly payment applications with Project Controls as appropriate. Responsible for preparing and negotiating suitable supply chain agreements to meet the respective contract requirements; secure supplier capabilities and commitments, and ensure the Supply Chain is fully engaged. Key Skills and Experience :

Contract Management in a technical consultancy/engineering industry environment. Extensive experience in drafting, implementing, and managing different forms of contracts and subcontracts. Significant experience of working with NEC3 contracts including Professional Services (PSC) and Engineering Construction Contract (ECC). Procurement experience in multifaceted procurements and contracts. Strong experience and proven track record of contract and supplier management. Proven track record of working across projects to tight deadlines. Good IT skills. Analytical skills. Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience in the UK nuclear industry. 5+ years of NEC experience. Experience of working across multiple projects in differing locations. Proven track record of working well under pressure, to tight deadlines. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills and project management awareness.
