Contracts Manager - Travel Industry This successful travel company is a renowned provider of school travel experiences, specialising in curriculum led trips to worldwide destinations. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team to procure accommodation, transport and services for designated regions and responsible for enhancing the commercial performance of destinations and products. Competitive salary and hybrid working in Sussex or full homeworking (UK) for experienced candidates. Contracts Manager – Role & Responsibilities: Identify trends and requirements of school & group travel to source innovative products and services. Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms for accommodation, transport, and services, ensuring sufficient inventory to meet business needs. Manage and nurture relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues & customer feedback. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to effectively promote and train on regional products, driving targeted growth. Utilise insights to maximise yield, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks. Conduct health and safety audits in accordance with guidelines and escalating issues as appropriate. Stay informed about industry developments and participate in relevant trade shows and events. Contracts Manager – Skills & Experience Required: Proven track record in procuring travel products and services, ideally for group travel in Europe. School travel experience preferred but not essential. Ability to spot market trends and opportunities for growth. Proficiency in another European language, preferably French, but German or Italian would also be beneficial. Strong commercial acumen with sound business sense. Exceptional ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. Expertise in building long-term, trusted relationships with suppliers. Clean driving license and ability to drive overseas is essential. Contracts Manager – Additional Information: Competitive salary Hybrid Working after an initial onboarding period, with circa 2 days in the office but full home working (UK ONLY will be considered for experienced candidates with the required skill set).
