Fawkes & Reece are working with a regional refurbishment contractor operating in Buckinghamshire and are looking for a Contracts Manager to join the team and manage the day-to-day operations of refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of contract management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Occasional travel to different office locations may be required. Responsibilities For Contracts Manager Manage all aspects of contract administration and ensure projects are running efficiently and within scope. Coordinate and liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure effective project delivery. Review and analyse technical specifications, tender documents, and contracts to ensure full compliance. Oversee the procurement process, managing costs and ensuring all materials and services are delivered on time. Monitor project progress, addressing any potential risks or delays and providing solutions to ensure projects stay on track. Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts. Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to on-site and liaise with health and safety teams to ensure compliance. Manage and resolve any contractual disputes or claims with subcontractors or clients. Lead the preparation and submission of progress reports, variations, and final accounts to clients. Maintain detailed records of all contract documentation and project correspondence. Requirements For Contracts Manager Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction or refurbishment sector. Strong knowledge of contract law, tendering processes, and project management. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Experience with cost management, budgeting, and financial control. Full understanding of construction health and safety regulations. A degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related field is desirable but not essential. A clean UK driving license.
