The NMBC is responsible for all aspects of Procurement, Supply Chain, and wider Commercial support to the aforementioned organisations covering a range of Acute, Mental Health, Community, Pathology Networks, GP Practices, and Commissioning Support Units across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Black Country, Shropshire, and South Cheshire Integrated Care System (ICS’s). With almost 200 staff, 55,000 customers, and managing a total non-pay spend portfolio of over £1.2b per annum, the NMBC is one of the largest and most influential Group Procurement Organisations (GPO’s) in the NHS.
This post sits in the Commercial Contract Management team and is based at the Royal Wolverhampton New Cross site, reporting to the Head of Procurement- Commercial Contract Management within the NMBC.
Commercial Contract Management and Delivery
To manage an allocated contract portfolio across Black Country ICS Trusts, working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to inform the development of a commercial contract management workplan which identifies opportunities to improve quality, value, and cost.
Support the Head of Procurement - Commercial Contract Management in the development, implementation, and success of the department's objectives.
Manage contract performance practice through the development of governance strategies, setting targets, and indicators.
Negotiate contractual issues ensuring all procurement processes are adhered to.
Analyze purchasing activity data to identify contract development opportunities.
