The Contracts Specialist role is integral to managing contract negotiations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations on key projects. Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing, preparing, and recording contract qualifications for client terms, coordinating negotiations to resolve exceptions in line with business standards and timelines. Acting as the focal point for reviewing, qualifying, and accepting purchase orders, ensuring compliance with standard terms for sale, rental, and service. Coordinating monthly commercial meetings, managing actions, and resolving or escalating issues as necessary. Reviewing and aligning required contract terms with insurers to ensure full coverage and compliance with advice received. Notifying relevant internal stakeholders of accepted contracts or orders, ensuring a thorough and clear handover of contractual obligations. Communicating progress and workload updates to the Commercial Director and collaborating closely with the Commercial Team to maintain a unified approach. Reviewing supplier qualifications or exceptions to standard purchase terms, providing appropriate responses, and escalating deviations for resolution. Overseeing the legalisation and notarisation of documents, coordinating with Legal Advisors and managing document preparation, storage, and distribution. Managing the contract database and ensuring timely updates for new agreements, rate escalations, and revisions of terms to reflect business changes. Preparing or assisting with prequalification questionnaires and ensuring timely submission. Maintaining and managing the patent and trademark library. Keeping detailed records of all terms, qualifications, and amendments made during contract negotiations. Developing and implementing plans for allocated ITTs, including drafting qualifications and negotiating contractual terms. Participating in tendering activities by preparing standard content, drafting bid plans, and ensuring compliance through to final submission. Ensuring all activities comply with company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and UK/EU legislation, minimising potential audit risks or partner claims. About You:

Proven ability to review, qualify, and negotiate contracts in a commercial environment, ideally within the oil and gas sector. Strong understanding of contract law principles relevant to UKCS operations, with global experience being advantageous. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. A detail-oriented approach, with excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities. Self-motivated, with a collaborative mindset and commercial acumen.
