Control Systems Engineer Orion is working with an Automation company that specializes in end-of-line robotic packing and palletizing automation systems.

They are looking to hire a skilled Control Systems Engineer to design and install controller system software.

The Role of the Control Systems Engineer

You will be developing existing code, creating new programs, writing and installing custom programmable logic code, testing system efficiency, traveling to clients' locations for the commission of machines or for service, analyzing system requirements, and providing operational support.

Responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer PLC code creation, debugging, and/or development. Create and implement safety logic using safety PLCs. Participate in FDS (Functional Description Specification) creation. Design machine automation test criteria before installation. Design and document testing systems for debugging, safety, and reliability. Overseeing the successful installation of PLC and Robot programs. Traveling to clients' locations, meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs, and/or providing clients with technical support. Requirements for the Control Systems Engineer Bachelor's degree in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field. Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages. Experience in the automation industry. Driving license and ability to travel when required. Rockwell/ Allan Bradley (Siemens and other PLC brands knowledge is welcome). Knowledge of SCADA and HMIs. Benefits for the Control Systems Engineer Company pension. Free parking. On-site parking.
