Key Responsibilities: Programming PLC control systems and configuring SCADA systems. Participating in all stages of the system lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, installation, and documentation. Working within project teams to meet customer deadlines. Performing on-site installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning. While primarily office-based, the role will require occasional travel to customer sites across Scotland and potentially overseas. Ideal Skills & Experience: Strong background in designing and implementing PLC Control Systems across various sectors (e.g., Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Energy). Hands-on experience with systems such as: Rockwell Automation (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, RSLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View). Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC, PCS 7). Industrial protocols like Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet. Competence in producing Functional Design Specifications, schematic diagrams, software development, and hardware builds. Experience in testing, commissioning, and conducting design reviews is advantageous. What We're Looking For: A genuine desire to learn and develop within the business.
