Social network you want to login/join with: Controls Engineer - Bristol - £50,000 - £60,000 depending on Automation & Robotics experience. Not all Controls Engineer jobs are the same. This one’s different. You’ll join a company that builds custom automation solutions - systems that other businesses can’t build. Think robotics, vision inspection systems, high speed automated machinery, and automated guided systems. Complex stuff. But that’s what makes it interesting, right? If you enjoy designing and developing controls systems that combine precision with creativity, keep reading. What you’ll be doing:

Designing and building control systems from the ground up. Writing software from scratch for Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC systems. Experience with Siemens, Omron, or Beckhoff? Even better. Developing HMI and SCADA systems to help clients actually see what’s happening. Collaborating with mechanical and electrical teams to create fully integrated solutions. Picking the best components, motors, drives, pneumatics, linear systems and making sure they all play nicely together. Supporting assembly, testing, and commissioning, whether it’s on-site with the team or at a client’s facility. Troubleshooting problems when they crop up (because let’s face it, they will). What we need from you:

A background in automation controls, with experience designing systems from scratch. Strong skills with Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs. If you’ve also dabbled with Siemens or Beckhoff, we’d like to know. Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development. A degree in electrical or controls engineering or enough experience to make that irrelevant. The ability to work collaboratively. And by that, we mean being someone people actually want to work with. A willingness to travel when needed, because not everything can be solved remotely. What’s in it for you?

A competitive salary (depending on experience). A team that values quality and creativity as much as you do. A role where your ideas will genuinely make a difference. Plus all the usual benefits: pension, holidays, etc. We’re looking for someone who loves tackling tricky problems with simple solutions. If that sounds like you, get in touch and click "Apply". Your CV will be forwarded to Cognize Technical Recruitment, a specialist Automation & Technical Recruitment Agency. Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
