Controls Engineer Location: Based in London, with worldwide travel, commutable from Romford, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Dagenham, Tilbury, Basildon, Canvey Island, Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, Hadleigh, Ilford, Stratford, Epping, Edmonton, Upminster. Remuneration: Negotiable £50,000 - £70,000 + company benefits depending on relevant experience (Pharma sector, automated machinery, PLC control system design & programming) We are thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team at our London facility. As a leading integrator of special-purpose machinery, conveyor systems, production, and assembly systems, we specialise in delivering bespoke automated solutions across diverse industry sectors, including Automated Warehousing, FMCG, Logistics, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, and Automotive. Key Responsibilities:

Designing, programming, and implementing control systems tailored to complex automation solutions. Developing and commissioning electrical designs, PLC programs, vision systems, SCADA, and HMI interfaces to meet client specifications. Integrating components and ancillary equipment such as conveyors, robotics, and vision systems into new or existing automated systems and production lines. Providing technical support for installation, fault diagnosis, and commissioning on customer sites globally. Skills and Experience:

A technical qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, Controls & Automation Systems, or a related field. Proven experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of control system design, PLC programming, electrical schematics, and automation solutions. Proficiency in programming at least one of the following PLC platforms: Allen Bradley, Rockwell, ABB, Fanuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Schneider. Hands-on experience with product integration into automated systems, including conveyors, robotics, vision systems, and ancillary equipment. While not essential, experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences sectors would be highly advantageous.
