The development of model based control systems for engine, vehicle, EV torque control, thermal management & data acquisition applications working with internal and external teams on research, prototype development and small volume production solutions.
Duties
To support model based control system developments
To refine / define strategy requirements
To develop software in Simulink & Targetlink
To support system modelling, software testing & simulation (Sil / MiL)
To support HIL rig development, set-up for client projects and deliver sign-off testing
To support the design & build of custom signal interfaces, instrumentation, test rigs, etc
To support issue investigations when required
To provide support to projects off-site when required
Skills and Experience
Experience with control systems development including code generation
Experience working with MATLAB, Simulink, TargetLink, auto code generation, source control
Familiar with ETAS INCA & Vector analysis tools
Practical knowledge of working with CAN networks & protocols, manipulating dbc files & configuring messages
Familiar with ISO26262
Experience with programming in C / C++
Familiar with automotive electrical environment (controls, component & comms technologies)
Competencies
Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or similar mechatronics / software development
Familiar with automotive electrical environment (controls, component & comms technologies)
Ability to work on own and as part of a team
Able to travel to work at client / partner sites, UK or overseas, for periods up to 4 weeks at a time
Must be eligible to work in the UK to apply for this position
