Shift Pattern: 11am - 11pm, 3 days on, 3 days off Are you a skilled Controls Engineering Technician looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic manufacturing environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our asset care team, providing control system support in our assembly areas. About the Role: Reporting to the Reliability Equipment Leader, you will play a vital role in enhancing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with the team to monitor and improve processes, upskill technicians, and lead operational improvements with a proactive and collaborative approach. Responsibilities: Process Improvement: Enhance TPM processes to increase OEE, ensuring timely and successful PM completion. System Support: Maintain and optimise pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on production equipment. Electrical Expertise: Analyse, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical systems, including PLCs, servo motors, and AC motors. Equipment Oversight: Maintain logs, document process changes, and support the installation and debugging of production equipment. Vision Systems: Assist engineering with adjustments to ensure product quality while managing costs effectively. Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety, environmental, and quality system standards. Data and Reporting: Provide detailed feedback on equipment and process performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Leadership: Mentor technicians, troubleshoot PLCs, and contribute to engineering discussions for resource deployment. About You: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is essential. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineer or technician role. Proficient in fault-finding, root cause analysis, and working within high-volume manufacturing environments. Demonstrated technical skills in mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment maintenance. Experience with PLC operations, robotics, programming, and reading schematics. Familiarity with MES, SCADA, and other data collection systems is a plus. Please apply now.
