£600 per day via Umbrella inside IR35 Join our client, a leading organisation in the Utilities industry, as a Controls Lead based in Warwick for a fixed-term contract of 6 months. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our client's Controls partner and play a crucial role in shaping and implementing a robust controls strategy and approach across various workstreams, including HR, Finance, and Procurement. The Role

Collaborate with the Controls partner to develop and approve a comprehensive controls strategy and approach document. Analyse existing roles and controls matrix (RACM) and process designs within HR, Finance, and Procurement. Participate in design workshops and governance meetings to gain insights into the future process designs and the integration of automated controls. Utilise the gathered information to build a new RACM, ensuring optimisation of automated controls and establishing a resilient and efficient control environment. Work closely with Product Managers to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end design of the RACM, addressing any control gaps or duplications. Update process maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to incorporate the new controls. Contribute to the change process, from change impact assessment to user acceptance testing and training, ensuring timely completion. Collaborate with the testing partner to develop and approve test scripts, covering both systemized and non-systemized controls. Support the user acceptance testing process and provide assistance in controls testing when required. Collaborate with the training partner to develop and approve training materials for controls and assist with training sessions. Coordinate with the Assurance team to integrate the revised RACM into the overall framework and update central systems. Liaise with the CFO controls team, ensuring their involvement and obtaining necessary approvals. Collaborate with DD&T (Digital, Data & Technology) to establish and embed IT general controls, offering expertise in HR, Finance, and Procurement-related aspects. Required Skills and Experience

Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) Extensive experience in controls design and implementation, preferably within the Utilities sector. Sound understanding of roles and controls matrix (RACM) and process design methodologies. Strong knowledge of automated controls and their integration into systems. Proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Relevant certifications in controls or related field.
