Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our conveyancers by assisting with various administrative tasks related to property transactions. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in the legal field while contributing to a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist conveyancers in managing property transactions from inception to completion. Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and property searches. Liaise with clients, estate agents, and mortgage advisors to gather necessary information and documentation. Maintain accurate records and files for all transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Conduct property searches and obtain relevant information from local authorities. Manage the case management system and ensure all entries are up-to-date. Provide excellent customer service by responding to client enquiries promptly and professionally. Support with administrative tasks as required, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence. Skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and processes. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and conveyancing software (two week training on the CMS and software will be given). Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment. Previous experience in a conveyancing role is desirable; training will also be provided. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
