Dealing with and providing estimates Opening files (paper and electronic) Drafting initial letters to clients and all parties and Law Society checks Conducting searches (STL and local) Performing Money Laundering checks Paying invoices Closing files (paper and electronic) Preparing draft completion statements and bills Filling out relevant accounts forms Retrieving old files and deeds from storage Making phone calls (to lenders, clients, solicitors, estate agents, etc.) Marrying post and emails with files Handling certified copies of ID documents Conducting straightforward email communications with clients/estate agents, etc. Requesting Title Documents from the HMLR portal Carrying out bankruptcy searches Marrying cheques with the post Sorting outgoing post Drafting documents such as contracts, contract packages, SDLT 1’s, TR1’s, and TP1’s Requisitions on Title Printing off relevant CML part 2 Obtaining ‘free’ planning documents from the relevant local authority Checking Estate Agents/Mortgage Brokers Taking phone calls and being proactive (i.e., seeing if we can help) Preparing AP1’s Drafting Completion Letters Preparing Memorandum of Exchange and Exchange letters Drafting SDLT1 Submitting SDLT1 Form and making payment Fast and accurate audio/copy typing, producing documents, letters, emails, and memos Answering the telephone in a helpful and professional manner, ensuring messages are taken accurately and dealt with appropriately Liaising with clients as required Ensuring filing is carried out on a regular basis Ensuring that all administration work is completed on a timely basis Assisting with the workload of secretarial colleagues as required, including calls and emails In return for the above, my client will be offering a generous salary/benefits package and excellent working conditions.
