A reputable law firm in Sherborne is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their dynamic property team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in residential conveyancing and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, assisting with all aspects of the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist solicitors with managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.

Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.

Conduct property searches and liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, estate agents, and local authorities.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the case management system.

Provide clients with regular updates on the progress of their transactions and respond to any queries.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices within the conveyancing process.

Support the team in administrative tasks, including filing, managing correspondence, and arranging appointments.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar role within a legal environment.

Strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process and related legal documentation.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.

Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
