We’re looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing team at Thorntons Solicitors. This role sits in our Conveyancing Post Settlement Hub, where you will support the team by handling all aspects of property registration, ensuring that deeds and documents are processed accurately and efficiently. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the legal field, particularly in residential property law. Key Responsibilities: Completing and submitting applications for registration of deeds and LBTT Returns (Land and Buildings Transaction Tax). Reviewing Title Sheets post-registration to ensure all information is accurate. Sending title deeds to lenders, clients, and our deeds store. Handling general property-related paralegal tasks as required. Working closely with other team members to ensure smooth processes and client satisfaction. What we’re looking for Experience: Previous experience in conveyancing, through legal work or academic study is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided in this role. Career Development: A strong desire to develop your career as a paralegal and progress within the legal field. Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to identify discrepancies in documentation. Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties. Proactive and Team-Oriented: You thrive in a team environment and are eager to take on new tasks and challenges.
