We are looking for people who have worked in the telecoms industry as Copper Installation Engineers for Openreach, with experience working at heights and in the telecommunications industry.
Working on a copper cable customer install project, we will provide initial upskilling/training and are able to offer the right candidates long-term career progression over several years.
Job Requirements
Driving to customers' houses and premises Liaising with customers to ensure installations can take place Adhering to Health and Safety legislation Working at height - climbing ladders safely Working in underground telecommunications chambers and in street cabinets Installing copper cable to customer premises Installing a network connection point in customer premises Explaining the new connection to customers and ensuring they are fully satisfied
Qualifications
Must hold a full UK driving licence Must be over 21 years of age (for company vehicle insurance) Confident working at height and in underground network Excellent communication skills Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable) Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.

All equipment provided - Tooling, PPE and Uniform Vehicle (fuel card - rates increase to include fuel) Training provided for various activities Option to be further multi-skilled to fibre installations
Contract Duration & Rates
This is a long-term contract role and you will be paid for the jobs you complete. Below are estimations of jobs and earnings (Once trained we would expect people to be achieving a minimum of 6 copper jobs per day or a blend of copper installs with MI & SI jobs).
PRICE WORK ROLE
Estimated earnings for experienced Engineers: £35k - £45k+ per annum. Full training will be provided (Training to be undertaken at Risby - near Bury St Edmunds). When on training you will be paid £93.85 per day (+ mileage). When buddying you will be paid £93.85 per day (+ mileage).
