Corporate & Commercial Solicitor
BCL Legal is working with a highly regarded law firm, seeking an experienced Solicitor with 2-6 years PQE to join their esteemed Commercial and Corporate Finance Business team. Depending on experience, the role could be offered as either an Associate or Senior Associate position.
The opportunity is based in the firm's Essex office, with the flexibility to work from home in line with the firm's guidelines, subject to work commitments.

The Role: The successful candidate will work across a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including:
Share and asset sale and purchases Management Buy Outs (MBOs) Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs) Demergers and share re-organisations Shareholder agreements, share buybacks, and employee share schemes Joint ventures, partnerships, and LLPs Corporate governance and directors' duties General commercial contracts
The role will provide exposure to a diverse range of clients, including charities, clubs, not-for-profits, and organisations within sectors such as healthcare, technology, media, and IT.
The Ideal Candidate: The firm is looking for a solicitor who has: Proven experience in handling a busy caseload while maintaining excellent client service Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills A commercial mindset and the ability to provide clear, high-quality advice Flexibility to work outside normal office hours and attend marketing events to contribute to business development initiatives An interest or experience in corporate commercial work, especially in sectors like healthcare, technology, or not-for-profits, would be advantageous. The firm has a strong track record of helping solicitors develop their own specialisms.
