Furthermore, the role involves publishing research, enhancing ARC’s analytical approaches, methodologies, and tools. We are looking for an individual with 2-4 years of corporate credit experience. ARC Ratings is headquartered in London with its main EU office in Lisbon, as well as additional staff strategically placed in European and African locations, such as Milan, Barcelona, Vilnius, Madrid, and Johannesburg. Staffed by a combination of seasoned credit rating professionals and senior structured finance bankers, ARC Ratings’ strategy is to drive change in the credit rating industry, providing honest, reliable ratings that Issuers and Investors trust. ABOUT THE JOB The successful candidate will: Act as a lead analyst on a portfolio of corporate credit ratings across several industries. Regularly work on first-time corporate credit ratings, prepare financial forecasts and rating memorandums, and present to rating committees. Proactively participate in rating committees as a voting member, provide constructive challenge, and contribute to the culture of a healthy debate. Perform analysis and conduct corporate credit assessments on a diversified portfolio of corporates. Use existing methodology scorecards and automation tools to support the analytical process and outcomes. Communicate ARC’s credit opinions, including corporate ratings and credit assessments externally. Review, analyse, and interpret complex financial statements and management accounts on a regular basis. Prepare research, market commentaries, and contribute to the enhancement of analytical products. Contribute to special projects associated with developing corporate ratings business, improving processes, generating efficiencies, and expanding outreach. Coach and mentor junior members of staff, contributing to a collaborative and positive team culture. JOB DESCRIPTION Requirements: Two to four years of practical experience in corporate credit analysis. Academic degree (MSc/BSc or equivalent). Advanced functional knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English are essential. Any other European language would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a logical, structured thought process. Sound judgment and highest ethical standards; capable of developing independent opinions and defending own views. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Strive for analytical excellence and constant improvement. Proactive, flexible, diligent, and dependable. Accounting background and a degree of completion of the ACCA / ACA / CFA qualifications are advantageous.
