£25,584 - £27,269 / year Description We are currently seeking a dedicated front-line Security Guard to join our Corporate Security Team. Our Team provides high visibility mobile and static security services at our various council properties and civic buildings. This is an exciting role which encompasses predominantly mobile security patrol as well as occasional assistance within the CCTV Control Room as required. As a vital member of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for responding to security concerns and intruder alarms as a keyholder for multiple council buildings. Your duties will include providing mobile and static guarding to deter potential security issues and offering security escort services for council staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, keen observation skills and the ability to prioritise urgent requests effectively. In this role you will establish strong partnerships with the police, licensed premises, retailers, and government enforcement agencies; working together for a safer Torbay. As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Knowledge Essential: Proven ability in gathering, interpreting, explaining, associating and applying information to meet customers' needs. Basic knowledge of locations and streets within Torbay. Experience & Qualifications Essential: Experience of working within the Security Industry. Manned guarding experience. Security Industry Qualification (SIA) Security Officer/Door Supervisor. Full Valid UK Driving Licence.
