Corporate Solicitor 1+ years PQE

£30,000 - £55,000 Competitive, based on market rate and experience Permanent, Fulltime Our client, a thriving full-service law firm, is seeking a Corporate Solicitor with 1+ years PQE to join their close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside 3 highly experienced partners, 2 newly qualified solicitors (NQs), and 1 trainee. The team is polarised, meaning there’s a gap for someone with the experience and confidence to manage a range of corporate matters independently. The ideal candidate should be comfortable running transactions from start to finish, including asset or share deals up to £2m, company buybacks, shareholders agreements, reorganisations, and demergers. Experience in legal due diligence exercises and managing disclosure processes is essential. For candidates with 5+ years PQE, larger transactions and projects will be made available based on expertise and project management skills. You will also be expected to supervise and delegate work to junior members of the team and assist in their development through internal training. While business development (BD) experience is not required, an appetite for BD would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities Manage corporate transactions from initiation to completion, including asset/share deals, reorganisations, and legal due diligence. Supervise junior solicitors and trainees, providing guidance and support. Delegate tasks effectively while ensuring quality control on work completed by the junior team. Skills & Qualifications 1+ years PQE in corporate law with relevant transactional experience. Strong technical knowledge of corporate law, particularly in asset/share deals, reorganisations, and shareholder agreements. Confidence in managing corporate matters from start to finish with minimal supervision.
