We specialise in many areas of law such as conveyancing, family, criminal, civil litigation, private client, commercial property and corporate law.

As one of our Corporate Solicitors, you will advise in relation to mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, and all aspects involved with both the purchase and sale of businesses.

You will be required to support the team and also have responsibility for your own workload.

The successful applicant will have at least 2 years PQE; however, this level identified is a guide only and does not preclude those with more or less experience from applying for the role.

The Corporate lawyer role supplements and supports the smooth running of the Commercial department and the continued growth of the team.

The postholder will also be expected to procure business leads and seize upon marketing opportunities for the promotion and sustained success of the department.

Responsibilities:

Set the highest standards of client care and customer service.

Provide the highest standard of legal advice.

Take instructions from clients.

Draft the necessary legal documents and contracts for each case.

Research previous cases and relevant laws to provide accurate advice.

Communicate effectively with clients and opposing solicitors.

If necessary, represent clients in court.

Supervise trainee solicitors and paralegals (as may be appropriate).

Manage calls from both new and existing clients.

Report to the Head of the Commercial Department regarding the performance of duties.

Facilitate the effective running of the department on a day-to-day basis.

Person Specification:

Must be results-driven, highly adaptable, and flexible, working comfortably in a fast-paced and dynamic legal environment.

Set the highest standard as a fee earner.

Exceptional drafting skills and extensive knowledge of the Corporate sector.

Develop and implement legal and commercially viable strategies for the business unit that align with business objectives.

Demonstrate creative talents and the ability to problem-solve.

Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent time management and organisation skills.

Be proactive and self-motivated.

Excellent attention to detail.

Qualification/Experience:

Experience of working in a corporate capacity within a fast-paced, evolving, and dynamic environment.

Must have at least 2 years post-qualified experience.
