About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our established sustainability team at a key point in its evolution, operating across the business to embed sustainability in the way we do business. The role should also provide exposure to stakeholders across the business, including XLoS.
We are looking to recruit a creative, motivated and experienced sustainability professional to support the innovation and delivery of a range of programmes, with a particular focus on the “S” of ESG that underpin our journey to drive a fair and just transition.
What your days will look like:
Manage our approach to mitigating the risk of modern slavery in the supply chain through due diligence activities, stakeholder upskilling, and outreach initiatives, while staying up to date with the latest UK and international legislations and regulation on human rights and modern slavery.
Draft the year-end disclosure of programme activities in compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. Compile comprehensive documentation of our modern slavery programme, including risk assessment outcomes, evidence of due diligence, and calculation of KPIs for internal audits purposes.
Research other potential social and environmental projects that drive positive impacts for the business. These projects could include new considerations for resource efficiency and circularity, social value, responsible business practices, and Buy Social commitments.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and our suppliers to expand the supply chain programme and organise sustainability events, such as supplier forums and workshops.
This role is for you if:
Passionate and eager to learn about sustainability and explore new ideas, with a strong understanding of ESG, and has a particular interest in the “people” aspects of sustainability.
A background in human rights, labour performance or social sustainability more broadly.
Excellent communications skills – particularly written – to draft content for both external and internal communications that can withstand scrutiny from senior leadership.
A natural collaborator, with the confidence to seek out and engage relevant internal stakeholders to gather and validate information, and to liaise with colleagues across the PwC Network as needed.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong desire and persistence to drive and execute the implementation of various initiatives and integrations through the business.
Strong project and time management skills, and the capacity to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment with multiple tight deadlines.
A practical, ‘hands on’ approach, with the confidence to put forward their own ideas at appropriate times (‘challenge and build’ mindset).
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
