Senior Consultant at Insite Recruitment - Public Practice Specialist in Audit, Accounts & Tax across the UK

Key responsibilities:
Confidently assisting with the delivery of corporation tax compliance -
Preparation of tax accounting disclosures and corporation tax computations for submission to HMRC for complex clients (e.g. corporate groups, P.E backed businesses, large OMBs),
Reviewing compliance work drafted by junior colleagues on simpler clients,
Awareness of contentious tax issues, managing risk and advising clients appropriately,
Quarterly Instalment Payment Calculations,
Preparation and assistance with various advisory projects,
Detailed capital allowances reviews,
R&D claims,
Group restructures,
Corporation tax due diligence and supporting mergers or acquisitions.
Training and mentoring junior colleagues,
Developing relationships with the other tax teams and the wider firm, commercial and trusting relationships with clients.
Required experience, skills and behaviours:
Friendly and approachable,
Confident corresponding with clients and HMRC,
2+ years experience in corporation tax (Experience in accounting also considered. Experience in advisory preferable).
