Senior Vice President, Business Continuity/Recovery Manager

to join our Corporate Trust Control & Resiliency Team. This role is a hybrid work schedule (4 days a week in office) and is located in Manchester. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Act as the primary point of contact for Resiliency related activities for Corporate Trust Globally. Manage a regional team of professional staff responsible for crisis management, business recovery, business continuity compliance, technology and information recovery testing, identification of risks to the organization's resilience and the Q&A of business continuity plans within the assigned region. Manage the implementation of governance protocols for these plans and complete programs and projects to assess the need for updates in the event of regulatory changes or identification of gaps. Lead and support the business line managers via the cross company Business Recovery Coordinator network to ensure the company is meeting both client and regulatory requirements related to Business Continuity. This includes providing training and awareness on required deliverables, tracking and monitoring for completion, conducting quality assurance reviews and reporting back to management, regulators and the Board of Directors, as required. Implement approved protocols for enforcing and monitoring crisis preparedness and assist with the development of training to ensure business roles are aware of their responsibility to maintain a compliant environment and what to do in the event of a technology or information crisis, among others. Assist professional staff prepare functions for testing events, including application recovery, evacuation and call tree testing, as well as testing of recovery transfers of information from one location to another. Manage a regional team responsible for drafting pieces of the master resolution and recovery playbook for the organization, including documenting key actions to be taken in the event of a crisis or bankruptcy. Ensure staff complete their assigned pieces in a timely and complete manner. Contribute to efforts to develop a strong business continuity compliance culture. Manage relationships with client contacts and business continuity vendors to coordinate regional alignment with the organization's Business Continuity & Recovery strategy. Escalate significant continuity issues to the Business Continuity Executive Committee. Identify and report to more senior managers on areas that are out of alignment. Recruit, direct, motivate and develop professional staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Provide feedback at the most critical times. Responsible for the achievement of team goals. Ensure the team is equipped to operationalize and attain regional objectives. Manage financial resources of the team (budgets, expenses, etc.). To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent A number of years work experience in a Business Resiliency role (inclusive of Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management and Incident Management protocols) Management experience is required Focused on execution and delivery with a client focus in mind Experience managing a Global Team At BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
