Cost Accountant Office based About Our Client Our client is a renowned leader in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector. This site is based in Lockerbie, with a large workforce of over 1000 employees and an established presence across the UK. Job Description Working alongside the Accounting & Finance team to maintain financial records. Analysing financial data to determine the cost of operations. Making recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities. Conducting cost analyses and preparing budget reports. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. The Successful Applicant A successful 'Cost Accountant' should have: Qualified Accountant or QBE. Comprehensive understanding of Accounting & Finance principles. Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset. Excellent mathematical skills. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work well in a team and independently.
