In this key leadership role, you will:

Drive Financial Excellence : Oversee the budget and hourly rate process, ensuring accurate budgetary control, timely reporting, and effective internal controls. Manage cost accounting activities, optimize hourly rates, and prepare for negotiation with external price auditors, including major clients like the UK MOD and ESA.

Lead with Impact : Manage and develop a team of eight across multiple sites, guiding them to align with our values and deliver exceptional results. Collaborate closely with the Finance Director on strategic topics, particularly price audits, to maximize profitability.

Be the Financial Backbone : Act as the crucial link between technical accounting and functional finance, providing in-depth controlling support for designated areas with a budget of approximately £180M. Your expertise will ensure that we identify risks, seize opportunities, and make informed strategic decisions. The Successful Applicant The Cost Accounting manager will need to have substantial experience in cost accounting and price auditing, with a proven track record of leading teams to success. Your proficiency in SAP and ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and auditors, is essential.
