£80k-£90k We are partnered with an international bank who are looking for a skilled Cost and Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing financial data, managing costs, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis within the banking or financial services sector. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, analyse, and report on cost structures to support financial planning. Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes. Perform variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities. Manage the outsourced Account Payable process on a day-to-day basis to ensure the appropriate approval hierarchies are in place. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with departments to optimise cost efficiency. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and practices, promoting cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality while ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations within the Procurement and Outsourcing management space. Provide detailed financial reports to senior management for decision-making. Monitor KPIs to assess financial performance and identify trends. Requirements: Professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent). Proven experience in cost and management accounting, preferably within banking or financial services. Strong understanding of cost structures, financial performance analysis, and management accounting principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial modelling and accounting software, relevant software and systems knowledge - SAP, SAGE, TM1 and Microsoft office suite.
