Our client is a leading estimating company that has recently seen significant growth and as such, are now seeking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their friendly office team.

The Quantity Surveyor will play a vital role in the team by performing detailed take-offs and preparing comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Take-Offs:

Perform detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications. Cost Estimation:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and overheads. Valuations & Variations:

Support customers with running their projects and completing valuations and variations on the projects won. Documentation:

Maintain and update cost databases, estimate files, and project documentation. Bid Preparation:

Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring all required information is accurate and complete. Communication:

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information. Collaboration:

Work closely with the estimating team and other departments to ensure cohesive and comprehensive project estimates. Analysis:

Review and analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope. Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in estimating software and tools. Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a quantity surveyor in the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Benefits:
