The project: Supporting an ongoing multi-£m automotive and advanced technology facility build, you will work within the consulting team providing strategic cost management services to the client. Responsibilities: Conduct feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection. Write and undertake procurement reports. Apply value management techniques at the outset of a project. Manage, estimate, and plan costs, including presenting the final cost plan. Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed. Act as a key interface with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages. Handle contractual frameworks and standard forms of contract. Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures and services provided to clients. Improve internal systems and processes. Guide assistant cost consultants and other junior team members. You'll need to have: Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role. Experience working within automotive or manufacturing technology builds. JCT form of contract experience is essential. A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent. Professional membership or working towards MRICS/RICS (or equivalent). You'll also have: Effective communication skills with all stakeholders. Problem-solving and analytical skills for resolving cost and contract issues. Understanding of present-day issues such as sustainability and carbon reduction.
