Take the lead in cost control for a high-impact nuclear defence project—drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and shape key decisions. Our Client has a requirement for a Cost Control Lead who will be required to work on a contract basis in Bristol. Job Role Responsibilities: Lead on engaging with Prog/Proj Leads and production of BOI submissions Updating ABC and IY workbooks (including creating new ones). Collating and inputting data for PMRS and POL reporting. Build professional relationships with key stakeholders within the business areas, across the TLB and within DE&S including attendance at meetings inc but not limited to programme boards, CIWGS and risk reviews. Support the production of BC's and support projects and ensure business cases do not stall. Supporting the Project Leads in supplying and updating finance data within business cases ensuring robustness and obtaining affordability statements before submission. Provide finance management advice, guidance & support to JE stakeholders on all aspects of financial management in accordance with current policy, rules and regulations. Ensure the Prog/Proj leads are aware of their respective financial information and are able to have some ownership of this, via regular meetings, sharing updates, reports, spreadsheets etc. Provide advice, guidance & scrutiny within 10 working days of submission or engagement in accordance with MoD policy, Army restrictions & local instructions. Adherence to Army compliance assurance requirements. Support the SRO and wider JE team on all aspects of finance and cost control.
