As Cost Controller you will be responsible for: Assisting the project team with cost queries and gaining back-up/validation to costs Supporting Commercial function by ensuring correct cost allocation and running of weekly cost reports Variance analysis of actual vs forecast costs Monitor and track costs Plus any other tasks to assist the Senior Finance Manager or project staff Interface with Senior Finance Manager, Site Project Team, HR and BB Newcastle and wider finance teams Liaising with External Suppliers and Contractors Working with Clients stakeholders to facilitate audits monthly/quarterly and provide samples of costs to enable audits and validation. Support Finance Manager and Commercial Lead in any ad-hoc analysis. Flexible position – may be project-based or office-based but site travel will be required Who we're looking for

The following skills and experience are required: Highly motivated, proactive, and practical individual Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within set timescales Thrives in a busy environment and enjoys a challenge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised and able to work on own initiative Review and prioritise tasks with accuracy High levels of IT Literacy, preferably used Oracle R12 accounts system but not essential. Full driving licence Gain understanding of Oracle R12 CVR (link between Commercial Project reporting and Financial project reporting). Why work for us
