We are seeking a Project Cost Controller to manage the financial aspects of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and ensuring projects are delivered within the approved financial parameters. You will work closely with project teams, procurement, finance, and contractors to ensure cost efficiency and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Control & Financial Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain effective cost control processes for CAPEX projects. Monitor, review, and control actual costs vs. budgeted costs on an ongoing basis. Ensure accurate reporting of financial performance and variance analysis to the project management team and senior stakeholders.

Project Planning & Forecasting:

Work closely with the project manager and planning team to develop and maintain detailed project budgets and cost forecasts. Provide early warning of cost overruns or potential cost risks, and propose mitigation strategies. Assist in the preparation of project financial appraisals and investment proposals.

Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and finance teams, to ensure accurate and transparent communication of project costs. Attend project meetings and provide cost control advice to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints. Develop strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to optimize pricing and delivery terms.

Compliance & Governance:

Ensure all cost control processes are in compliance with company policies and CAPEX governance frameworks. Maintain up-to-date documentation of project financials, cost control procedures, and audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in CAPEX cost control, project finance, or quantity surveying roles, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of cost control principles, financial forecasting, budgeting, and project finance management. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
