Scarborough Sixth Form College To provide counselling and information services to young people and staff at Scarborough Sixth Form College. Professional Responsibilities: Carry out any preparation required in advance of lesson including: Liaise with relevant Head of Department/teacher. Collect work to be completed during lesson. Register students. Ensure all relevant resources are available, such as books, materials and photocopying. Agree which member of staff work should be returned to (if appropriate). Take register and input attendance to ELMS. Hand out any set work. Give clear instructions regarding what work needs to be completed and by when. Hand out resources or ensure students know what resources are available and where they can be obtained. Assist with any general enquiries. Maintain an effective working environment. Ensure students work effectively and complete set work within the lesson time. Collect in completed work at end of lesson. Carry out any follow-up required at the end of the lesson including: Return work folder and resources to agreed member of staff. Provide feedback to agreed member of staff, as appropriate. Quality: Participate in professional development reviews and staff development activities. Responsibilities of all staff: Promote high expectations of students in and outside the classroom; and promote and safeguard their welfare. Carry out administrative duties relevant to the post, including maintaining records and providing information/data. Work within college guidelines and promote college values. Give due consideration to Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity issues within all activities. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive or personal information. Carry out other duties as reasonably required by the Principal.
