Permanent Term Time, Part-time Term Time Actual Salary for 16 hours, 37 weeks:

£12,317 to £12,823 We are looking for a counsellor who is experienced and qualified to work with young adults aged 16-25 with learning disabilities and complex needs including ASD and ADHD, attachment disorders, and childhood trauma. The role may also include group work on issues such as bullying, self-esteem, and anger management. Our students attend Freeman College based in the city centre, Sheffield. Freeman College is an independent specialist college educating young people (16-25) with complex behaviour and learning difficulties including autistic spectrum conditions. The main purpose is to: Provide a personal counselling service for students, covering a wide range of issues from bereavement, anxiety, stress, sexuality, self-esteem, personal development, etc. Produce appropriate reports as required to meet education and counselling requirements. Refer students to support agencies – both internal and external. Deliver staff training, in both formal and informal manners. Commit to promoting the Trust's visions, values, purpose, and method. Hold the appropriate professional qualifications. Maintain ongoing membership to the appropriate professional body. Commit to CPD and self-development. Our students have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which can involve complex diagnoses.
